Lefkowitz, Jerome

Lefkowitz, Jerome, 91, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at NewBridge on the Charles, Dedham, Massachusetts.  He was the beloved husband of the late Rochelle (Pavlow) Lefkowitz for 55 years. Born in Bronx, NY, a son of the late Sol and Bella (Kuczerok) Lefkowitz. Jerome was raised in Fall River, Massachusetts, and attended the University of Massachusetts. Upon graduation, he joined the certified public accounting firm of Glass Dittleman & Co., based in Providence, Rhode Island, which firm eventually merged into Laventhol & Horwath, and ultimately became the firm of Lefkowitz, Garfinkel, Champi, & DiRienzo. Jerome also served a term as President of the Rhode Island CPA Society.

Prior to living in NewBridge on the Charles, Jerome resided in Lake Worth, Florida, and prior to that, he was a longtime resident of Cranston, Rhode Island.

Devoted father of Richard Lefkowitz and his wife, Barbara, of Boca Raton, Florida, Kim Gottlieb and her husband, Dan, of Westport, Connecticut, Steven Lefkowitz and his wife, Karen, of Needham, Massachusetts, and the late Heidi Lefkowitz. Loving grandfather of Sam and his wife Sydney, Alex, Melanie, Jake, Madison, Mia, Spencer, and Zachary.

Funeral services will be private. Shiva will be observed at 35 Livingston Cr., Needham, Massachusetts, Tuesday, June 23, between 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Parkinson’s Foundation or American Heart Association.
