Paula Jean Poli-Lussier, Age 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 29, 2026 at the Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence, RI surrounded by her family.

Paula was born at St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River, MA and was raised in Syracuse, NY, New Bedford, MA, and Barrington, RI. She was a 1965 graduate of Barrington High School and also graduated from Roger Williams University, Bristol, RI.  She was the daughter of the late Jean Everett Messier and Maureen Coonan Allen.

She is survived by her husband, David T. Lussier of Providence, RI, her children Kathryn A. Poli-Manchester and her husband, Steve, of Pawtucket, RI, Elizabeth M. Poli-Levesque and her husband, Corey, of Coventry, RI, Austin T. Lussier of Johnston, RI, Megan R. Lussier of North Providence, RI, two grandchildren, Cameron and Melina Manchester, and her sister, Andree Allen of Dubuque, Iowa. Paula was a steadfast anchor for her family, building a legacy of love and togetherness that spanned generations.

Paula had a fulfilling career as an elementary education teacher at Holy Trinity School in Central Falls, RI, East Providence, RI Public School System, and the Seekonk, MA Public School System. After her retirement, Paula enjoyed traveling, fine dining, gardening, baking homemade apple pies, and spending time with her family.

Paula was the Charter President of the Seekonk, MA Hearthstone Lions Club for many years and took pride in raising funds to help those in need.

Paula lived a life marked by devotion to her family, a strong personal ethic, and a warm spirit that touched all who knew her. May the memories of her laughter and the love she so freely gave bring comfort and peace to all who mourn her loss. May she rest in eternal peace.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in Shalom Memorial Chapel, 1100 New London, Ave., Cranston, RI 02920.

    Ed and I truly sorry for the loss of your mother. We will not be able to attend her service because it conflicts with our church service. Ed serves at church on Sunday service. Again we send our love and condolences to the whole family.
