Goldman, Samuel, 81, died September 12, 2025, at his home on Lakeshore Drive. Born in Providence, a son of the late Sanford and Esther (Port) Goldman, he was a lifelong resident of Warwick. He was a graduate of Warwick Veteran High School, Class of ’63 and Bryant College, Class of ’68. Sam worked in sales and management for Scott Laboratories in West Warwick for 24 years, previously working for Teva Pharmaceuticals and retired from Dr. Reddy’s in 2018. He was an Army Reserves veteran, serving stateside during the Vietnam War.
Devoted father of Rachel Goldman Graves and her husband, Jeremy. Dear brother Sandra Goldchein, Jonathan Goldman and Louis Goldman. Loving grandfather of Alison and Jackson. Cherished uncle of Michael and Brian. Beloved Great Uncle to Keira, Abigail, Leah and Nathan.
Priest Chapel services will be held on Tuesday, September 16, at 11:00 a.m. in Lincoln Park Cemetery, 1469 Post Road in Warwick. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Prostate Cancer Foundation, 1250 Fourth Street, Santa Monica, CA 90401 or the cancer research charity of your choice. Shiva will be observed in private.

Because of closeness in age(two months) and first cousins whose mothers were close(Mary and Estelle), Sam and I were good buddies as kids. As often happens, our interest and personalities evolved in different directions and we saw each other less often, though always enjoying our times together. Fortunately, we saw each other during the last few years when I visited RI. Like most of us, Sam had to confront life’s many challenges, but he always ended up showing himself to be a very kind, decent and loving person.
So very saddend to hear of Sam’s passing. He was a wonderful, caring and compassionate man. He spread joy and happiness to everyone he met. I loved the singing together and laughing. Thank you for showing me such kindness in a dimming world. Say hello to Sandra for me! Love you much! Until we meet again ❤️
