Wasser, Eleanor Abrams, 75, died Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Rhode Island Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Marvin Wasser for 45 years. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Harold and Helen Abrams, she was a longtime resident of Cranston. Eleanor graduated from Cranston High School East, Class of ’67 and attended Katharine Gibbs School in Providence. She was a member and past president of Temple Sinai and its Sisterhood.
Devoted mother of Jason Guy (Elizabeth Shen) of Audubon, PA, Rachel Wasser (Benjamin Weiher) of Toronto, Canada and Emily Abramson (Steve) of Westwood, MA. Dear sister of Jane Abrams (John Paul MacDuffie) of Philadelphia, PA and Anne Schwartz (David) of Richmond, VA. Loving grandmother of EJ, Angelina, Milo, Hazel, Allison and Samuel.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 22 at 11:00 a.m. in TEMPLE SINAI. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Temple Sinai, 30 Hagen Ave., Cranston, RI 02920. Shiva will be observed at 172 Edaville Court, Warwick, RI 02886, Tuesday, April 22 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., and Wednesday, April 23, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. The Minyan service is Tuesday, April 22, at 7:00 p.m.

I was away for two days and I was shocked to hear that Ellie passed away.
Ellie represented every aspect of Temple Sinai. She was a giving person who was the glue that held everything together. She never said no to anything the temple needed.
She was on every committee, she sang in the choir, she was a past Temple President. Whenever something was going on, Ellie was always there.
Everyone at Temple Sinai will feel her loss.
I am sorry to her husband, Dr. Marvin Wasser, her children, and grandchildren.
But I promise all of you, her memory will be a blessing to all of us!
