Kaner, Leonard Z., 92, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024 at Cedar Dell in Dartmouth. He was the beloved husband of the late Elaine (Blake) Kaner for 66 years. Born in Boston, a son of the late Maurice and Fannie (Curhan) Kaner, he had lived in North Dartmouth for 7 years, previously living in Dartmouth and New Bedford. He was a civilian engineer with the US Navy, retiring in 1984. Leonard was a dedicated member of Tifereth Israel Congregation in New Bedford and a Mason for over 50 years.

Devoted father of Marc (Lina) Kaner of Mattapoisett, MA, Larry (Kim) Kaner of Manchester, MA and Mindy (Richard) Goldstein of Mattapoisett, MA.
Loving grandfather of 4. Cherished great grandfather of 3.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the Plainville Cemetery in New Bedford. Shiva will be observed immediately following the service at the home of Mindy and Richard Goldstein, 18 Fieldstone Drive, Mattapoisett, MA.
