I am saddened to hear about Joel’s passing. I first met him when I started as an associate dentist in a practice that was not a good fit for me. Learning of my dilemma, Joel put me in touch with another dental practice that he was affiliated with and helped me get into a better situation. I will always be grateful that he thought enough to help me.
Dr. Joel Harrison was very kind and accommodating to many of my patients who had no place else to turn. I did not have the pleasure to meet him in person, but I appreciate and will remember the care and kindness he has extended to many patients over the years. Patients always said he was a very kind doctor. I to his family: I am very sorry for the loss of your father and brother. May his good qualities live on through you.
Ray and I were very sad to hear of the passing of Dr Harrison. I was fortunate to have worked with him as a volunteer for the American Heart Association RI Chapter for many years. He was dedicated to the Emergency Cardiac Care Committee and Board of Directors of that organization for many years, also serving as chairperson of Emergency Cardiac Care Committee. His perspective as an oral surgeon provided a unique multidisciplinary approach to teaching CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support in many facilities including Brown Medical School. He always was available to help teach these classes and he was so very kind to student and fellow instructors. He always tried to find ways to help others. He will be missed My sincere sympathies to his daughter and family. Rest in peace Dr Joel.
