Smith, Marcia B. died on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, in Fall River, MA with her loving son by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Marvin M. Smith. Born in Brookline, MA, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Fannie (Hayes) Brooks, she had lived in Fort Lauderdale, FL, previously living in Cranston, RI. She was one of the original donors to create Rotary Park in Perkins Cove, Ogunquit, ME. She was a co-owner of Kelly’s Sporting Goods alongside her husband, Marvin, until his retirement. Marcia was dedicated to animal welfare and made it a point to involve herself in many rescue organizations, most recently, she took a keen interest in the Moby Kit Rescue, a volunteer run, foster-based organization dedicated to saving cats and kittens.

Devoted mother to Bob Smith, of Fall River, MA, and Joel Smith.

Graveside services and Shiva will be held in private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Moby Kit Rescue, 57 Walnut St., Fall River, MA.
