Slom, Elaine Barrie, 95, died Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Steere House. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Barrie and Earl Slom. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Lee and Belle (Liebowitz) Kaplan, she had lived in Warwick since 2012, previously living in Cranston.  She was teacher’s aide for 15 years, retiring in 1990. Elaine was a former member of Temple Sinai.

Devoted mother of Alison Barrie of Warwick, Lori Barrie Wright and her husband, David Wright, of Shrewsbury, MA, Lisa Jachowicz of Southborough, MA and the late Dean Thomas Barrie. Loving grandmother of Andrew, Taryn, Kristopher, Meredith, Michele, Joseph and Julie.

Graveside services will be held Sunday at 11:00 a.m. in the Priest Chapel in LINCOLN PARK CEMETERY, 1469 Post Road, Warwick. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to American Parkinson Disease Association, PO Box 41659, Providence, RI 02940.  Shiva will be private.
