Gertrude Hak
Hak, Gertrude, 98, of Epoch on Blackstone Blvd., died Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Epoch. She was the beloved wife of the late Phillip Hak. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Harry and Ida (Goldstein) Goldberg, she had lived in Pawtucket most of her life before moving to Providence 6 years ago. Gertrude was a teacher in the Pawtucket school system. She was a member of Temple Emanu-El and a life member of Hadassah. Devoted mother of the late Kenneth Hak. Dear sister of the late William Goldberg, Anne Goldfine, Evelyn Mellion and Myrtle Silverman. Loving grandmother of Rachel Goodman. Cherished aunt of several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI.
