Sherman, Sandra Lazarus, 83, died Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late William H. Sherman. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Levin) Lazarus, she was a lifelong resident of Providence. Sandra was a graduate of Hope High School and Boston University. She was a member of Temple Beth-El and volunteered there, as well as at Moses Brown School, and Gordon School. Devoted mother of Robert D. Sherman and his partner, Lisa Livshin, of Newton, MA and Gary L. Sherman of Providence. Dear sister of the late Leonard Lazarus. Graveside services were held at Lincoln Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Temple Beth-El, 70 Orchard Ave., Providence, RI 02906.  Shiva will be observed at 80 Upton Ave., Providence, Monday 7-9 p.m.
