Irwin J. Nebelkopf
Nebelkopf, Irwin J., 84, died Friday, August 17, 2018 at Kent Hospital, Warwick, RI. He was the beloved husband of Ellen (Guenette) Nebelkopf for 34 years. Born in Monticello, NY, a son of the late Joseph and Rose (Yankelowitz) Nebelkopf, he had lived in Orlando, FL for 12 years, previously living in Fall River, MA. He started Nebel Heating in 1966. Irwin was a Korean Conflict Army veteran, serving in Korea. He was a member of Congregation Tifereth Israel, was a member and former president of Allendale Country Club, and was an avid golfer. He earned a BA from CCNY in Mechanical Engineering and a MBA from UMass Dartmouth. Devoted father of Cary Nebelkopf and his wife, Debra, of Assonet, MA, Ilene Rawlins and her husband, Curtis, of New Orleans, LA, and Susan Gruskay and her husband, Andrew, of Boxborough, MA. Dear brother of David Nebelkopf and his wife, Cynthia, of Hollywood, FL and the late Larry Nebelkopf. Loving grandfather of Zoe and Jacob Gruskay. Graveside services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. in PLAINVILLE CEMETERY, Old Plainville Rd., New Bedford, MA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Winter Park Playhouse, 711 N. Orange Ave., #C, Winter Park, FL 32789 or Opera Orlando, 501 E. Church St., Orlando, FL 32801. Shiva will be observed at 11 Daniels Way, Boxborough, MA, Tuesday and Wednesday.
