Sadie Muffs
DATELINE: WARWICK
Muffs, Sadie, 98, of Tamarisk, died Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Kent Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Muffs. Born in Putnam, CT, a daughter of the late Isadore and Gertrude (Zultowsky) Spiegalman, she had lived in Warwick for 26 years, previously living in Providence. She attended nursing school in New York City. Sadie was an active member of the former Temple Beth David, as a member of its Sisterhood, Motherhood, and School Board. She was also a life member of Hadassah. Devoted mother of Dr. Michael Muffs and his wife, Lauren, of Poughkeepsie, NY and the late Iris Muffs Goldfinger and her husband, Michael, of Rockville, MD. Dear sister of Sally Carver of Warwick and the late David Spiegalman. Loving grandmother of Amy, Larry, Sheryl and Marilyn. Cherished great grandmother of Rachel, Hava, Ezra and Andersen. Graveside services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. in LINCOLN PARK CEMETERY, 1469 Post Road, Warwick. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168 or Tamarisk, 3 Shalom Drive, Warwick, RI 02886. Shiva will be observed at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Michael Muffs, 35 Tall Tree Lane, Poughkeepsie, NY, on Saturday evening through Wednesday.
Sorry for your loss. It is always hard to lose a loved one.
As the closest relative to Sadie Muffs and being her sister, I am
appalled that no mention of her death was in any local paper
considering she was a RESIDENT of Tamarisk Assisted Living
of WARWICK, RI.
Shiva services were held at Tamarisk on Friday Sept 9 for those
who knew her. I regret this was not mentioned in the Obituary
listed above.
Sadie Muffs lived at Tamarisk for several years and was a loved
member of Tamarisk and I think memorial contributions in her
memory may be also made to TAMARISK ASSISTED LIVING
3 SHALOM Drive; Warwick RI 02866.
Rest in Peace Sadie, it’s been a long road and now you
will be with your late Daughter Iris Muffs Goldfinger and your Husband Ray Muffs.
I will miss you so much, but I am glad you are finally at Peace.
My thoughts are with you and the family and how painful it is to lose your loved one. Please accept my deepest sympathy. May God’s love and comfort be with you and the family.
“For this is the will of my Father, that everyone that beholds the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him at the last day.” John 6:40
