OBITUARY FOR MIMI HANFLIK

Hanflik, Mimi, 96, of St. Elizabeth Home, died Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Hanflik. Born in Vienna, Austria, a daughter of the late Abraham and Rachel (Goldfarb) Gruner, she had lived in East Greenwich, previously living in Hallandale, FL and Flint, MI. Mimi was a lifemember of Hadassah and was active in the Congregation Beth Israel Sisterhood. Devoted mother of Henry Hanflik and his wife, Nancy, of Flint, MI, Linda Miller and her husband, Paul, of West Warwick, and Robert Hanflik and his wife, Susan, of Cranston. Dear sister of the late Fay Parnes, Stella Koenig, Max Gruner, and Anna Berg. Loving grandmother of Robyn, Jessica, Andrew, Jason, and Charles. Cherished great-grandmother of Maya and Aviva. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Jewish Eldercare of RI, 100 Niantic Ave., Providence, RI 02907 or Hadassah, 17 Pocahontas Dr., Middletown, RI 02842. Shiva will be observed at 2 Golden View Dr., West Warwick, Friday 2-4 p.m., Saturday 8-10 p.m., and Sunday 2-5 p.m.
