Glick, Herbert S., 80, of Carlisle St., died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, at home. He was the beloved husband of Elaine (Linder) Glick for 54 years. Born in Brooklyn, a son of the late Henry and Sophie (Schneider) Glick, he resided in Cranston for 54 years. Herbert was in the Pacific Theatre during the Korean conflict serving in the Navy. A furniture salesman for 45 years and owner of the Sleep Shoppe, he retired 10 years ago He was a member of Touro Fraternal Association and former member of both Crestwood Country Club and Temple Sinai. He was an avid reader and golfer. Devoted father of Stanley Glick and his wife, Cheryl, of Cranston, and Lawrence Glick and his wife, Laura, of Pompano Beach, FL. Dear brother of the late Ira Glick. Loving grandfather of Meredith, Rebecca, and Erica. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 275 Westminster St., Providence, RI 02903, National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016, or your favorite charity. Shiva will be observed at 29 Brookview Dr., Cranston, Sun. 7-9 and Mon. 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
