She was a speech and language pathologist for the Narragansett school system, retiring several years ago. Leona Berlow Walder, ”Nonie,” passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, at the age of 97. Nonie was born in Woonsocket, RI, on May 7, 1928 to Charles Berlow and Ida Lunetsky Berlow, joining older sisters Cynthia and Evelyn Berlow. The Berlow family moved from Woonsocket to Providence, where Nonie graduated from Hope High. Theirs was a home filled with music and learning.
