BARRINGTON Newman, Ronnie S., 77, died Saturday, September 9, 2023, at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. Born and raised in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of Charles and Shirley (Best) Soforenko. During her married life, she lived in Westborough, Massachusetts; Spring, Texas; and, for the last 38 years, Barrington, Rhode Island. She graduated from Lesley College in 1968. After a Girl Scout trip to Switzerland in 1962, her self-proclaimed “raison d’etre” (reason for being) was to change the world for the better, one person at a time. PROVIDENCE Florence Percelay passed away on September 24, 2023, at Briarcliff Manor in Johnston, Rhode Island. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on April 28, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Nathan and Minnie Goldfarb. She is predeceased by her husband Earl Morton Percelay, her son Joseph H. Percelay and her brother Samuel Goldfarb. She became an integral participant with her husband when he began his successful business in Pawtucket, working full time while raising her children in Pawtucket. He was the beloved husband of the late Ann (Sorenson) Miller for fifty-nine years. Born in Cambridge, MA, a son of the late George and Sarah (Collin) Miller, he had lived in East Greenwich for almost fifty years, and spent his summers in Edgartown on Martha’s Vineyard for more than 30 years.
