She was the beloved wife of the late Marvin Dronzek for forty-nine years. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, she was a daughter of Arthur and Elvira (Szusz) Wintner, Marcia attended and graduated from the University of Michigan, earning her B.A. in education. Aside from her time in Michigan, she had lived in Ohio for forty years. She volunteered with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Ohio, and, together with her father, the Mt. Sinai Hospital in Cleveland. She was a teacher in Mayfield Heights, OH, before moving to East Greenwich with her husband and children in 1978. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Edmund and Anne (Tanenbaum) Berger, she had lived in Warwick for two years. Previously living in California with Bruce for eighteen years; she also embraced the culture of Hawai’i, bonding with the community, the environment, and the Spirit of Aloha. Barbara was born in Brooklyn, NY and previously resided in Greenville and Providence. Connecting with others was her passion. Barbara made friends wherever she went. She wanted to know your family, your personal story, and if she admired what you were wearing, was eager to bestow compliments. Later in life, she connected with many of her caregivers, first by asking them questions, then by kvelling about her extended family, including the pets. Dateline: Cranston Tonkover, Roman, 72, passed peacefully Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at RI Hospital, surrounded by his lovely family. Born in Odessa, Ukraine, he immigrated to the US in 1979. He was a son of the late Boris and Sophia Tonkover. Roman was married for 40 years to Sofya Tonkover. Roman was a master Jeweler, Hand Engraver and tool maker. He started as an apprentice at a very young age and for the next 50+ years of his life, his passion for the art has led him to become true artist and craftsman in his own right. He was an extremely hard worker. Roman was an avid animal and nature lover, he raised beautiful show dogs, parrots, exotic fishes and bonzai flowers.
