GOLDSTEIN FLAG DATELINE: North Dartmouth Goldstein, Stanley M. “Si”, 99, of North Dartmouth, passed away at home Friday, November 6, 2015, after a long period of declining health. Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Harry and Bluma (Levine) Goldstein, he was a lifelong resident of Dartmouth. He participated in the family business, Harry Goldstein and Sons, Inc. for 52 years, retiring in 1980. He was a WW-II Army veteran, serving in the European Theater. Si was a past president of the former Ahavath Achim Synagogue, a member of the Jewish War Veterans Post 154, New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home, Jewish Federation of New Bedford, B’nai B’rith, Tifereth Israel Congregation and the Lions Club. Born in Minsk, Belarus, a son of the late Yacov Moses and Faina (Ginzburg) Vilner, he had lived in Riga, Latvia before immigrating to the US in 1992. Vladimir was a Stationary Engineer for Rhode Island Hospital, retiring 10 years ago. Devoted father of Sergey Krasnov of Cranston and Oleg Vilner and his wife Elina of Old Bridge, NJ.
