Celia Krieger

Krieger, Celia, 93, died Saturday, June 7, 2014 in Greenland, NH.  She was the beloved wife of the late Seymour Krieger. Born in New York City, NY, a daughter of the late Abaham and Leah (Gzebnarz) Stupsky, she had lived in Providence since 1953, previously living in Brooklyn, NY.  She was a Hebrew teacher at Temple Sinai for 10 years and Temple Beth-El for 25 years, retiring in 1986.  Celia was a member of Temple Emanu-El, Havurah Kulanu Hadar, and the former Pioneer Women, now called Na’Amat.  Devoted mother of Les Krieger of Jerusalem, Israel, Cantor Wayne Krieger of Freehold, NJ, Rabbi Barry Krieger, and the late Dr. Dennis Krieger.  Dear sister of the late Sam and Jack Stone.  Loving grandmother of 10.  Cherished great-grandmother of 19.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Temple Emanu-El, 99 Taft Avenue, Providence.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Na’Amat, 505 8th Avenue, Suite 12A 04, New York, NY 10018-4511 or Temple Emanu-El, 99 Taft Avenue, Providence, RI 02906.

  6. We remember Ceil fondly as a true lady..dignified and gracious.Your Dad ,Seymour was my first boss at a teaching job at Beth El.He was good to work with,always encouraging.It lead me to stay on for 27years. Fine people.
