Rosen, David
David Lionel Rosen passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 11, 2024, at the age of 88 after a brief illness. He was born on June 7, 1936, in London, England. In January 1957, David entered the Merchant Marine Navy, where he worked as a pastry baker. After being discharged, he was sponsored to come to America and became the pastry baker at Widoff’s Bakery in Worcester, Massachusetts. He was also highly involved in the Masonic Lodge for over 55 years and held the position of Worshipful Master Mason. He also received the Veterans Medal.
David married the love of his life, Joan Gesualdi Rosen, in 1961. They were married for 51 years until her passing in 2012. He is survived by his children: son Jeffrey Rosen and his wife, Amy Rosen, of Johnston, Rhode Island; son Gregg Rosen and his wife, Pamela Rosen, of Warwick, Rhode Island; son Robert Rosen and his wife, Michaelle Rosen, of Taunton, Massachusetts; and daughter Melissa Rosen of Paxton, Massachusetts.
David is also survived by his nine grandchildren: Luis Colon, Jessica Colon, Kaitlyn Rosen and her husband, Douglas Michaels, Zachary Rosen and his wife, Brittany Rosen, Melanie Rosen, Tessie Taylor and her husband William Taylor, Robert Rosen II, Jacob Rosen and Alex Rosen. He also had three great-grandchildren: Josi and Lola Rosen, and Kennedy Rosen-Michaels. His family was his whole life, and he loved them more than anything.
A service will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Temple Sinai, 30 Hagen Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920 followed by a burial at Lincoln Park Cemetery, 1469 Post Rd, Warwick, Rhode Island 02888

Shiva will be observed on Monday night, October 14th, at 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday, October 15th, at 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the home of Gregg and Pamela Rosen, 339 Promenade Ave., Warwick, RI 02886
