I have known Stephen for over 70 years. His sister, Eleanor and I have been very close friends since then. Stephen was always a gentleman and always willing to help people. I still have the pictures he took of me with the very first class I taught at Lexington Avenue School in Providence. I have memories of him playing on the badminton team at Hope High, as well as of the times I visited his family in Barrington, and his taking us out in his boat. He was a wonderful son to his parents, and caring brother to his sister. I will miss his infectious laugh. My heart goes out to Susan, his devoted wife, and to his children and to my lifelong friend, his sister, Eleanor.
