Goldenberg, Shirley, 87, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Home, East Greenwich. She was the beloved wife of the late Irving Goldenberg. Born in Johnston, a daughter of the late Emilio and Susie (Terelli) Ferranti, she had lived in Warwick for 8 years, previously living in West Warwick and Providence. Shirley was a receptionist for Capuano Sanitary Landfill for many years, retiring over 20 years ago. Devoted mother of Janice Maggiacomo and her husband, Philip, of Cranston, Jacob Goldenberg and his wife, Elyse, of Exeter, and Marsha Carbone, and her partner, Scott Molloy, of West Kingstown. Dear sister of Celia Ricci of Cranston and the late Salvatore Ferranti. Loving grandmother of Lacey, Shana, Daniel, Michael, Sara, and Robbi. Cherished great grandmother of Jason, Ava, Sophia, Lilianna, Caleb, Jenna, and Bella. Funeral services will be held TODAY, Sunday, at 11:00 a.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 245 Waterman St., Providence, RI 02906. Shiva will be private.
