Joseph Beckler

Beckler, Joseph, 99, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021. He was the beloved husband for 75 years to the late Selma Ruth Beckler, who passed away five days before Joseph. Son of the late Morris and Ida (Meltzer) Beckler; devoted father of Mark Beckler and Francine Zeitz (David); loving grandfather of Chaim Zeitz; dear brother of the late Gussie Goodman and Anna Carnavale.
Joseph had lived in Tamarac for 12 years, previously a longtime resident of Warwick, RI. He worked for American Insulated Wire in Pawtucket for over 40 years and was a member of the Local 1203 IBEW.  After retirement he worked at Hertz Rental Car in Warwick, where he was referred to as “Uncle Joe.” Joseph was a member and former officer of the Loyal Family Circle.  He enjoyed projects around the house and garden and took pride in his family car.  Joseph loved spending time with his family and playing card games with friends.

Funeral services will be held TUESDAY, November 30th at 10:30 a.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston, RI. Shiva will be observed in Fran’s home in Tamarac on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Friday 1-4 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to JAFCO at jafco.org/donations or American Heart Association, 1 State St., #200, Providence, RI 02908.

    I grew up across the street from the Becklers, very nice people. i am also friends with Mark, and Francine used to babysit for us !
