Helen L. Weinberg

DATELINE: FALL RIVER, MA

Weinberg, Helen L., 91, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Sidney Weinberg. Helen was born in Bronx, NY, a daughter of the late Emil and Ethel Schneider. She was a graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School. Helen was an office manager for Kornreich Associates in New York, NY for 20 years and for Leo Janoff Insurance in Bronx, NY for 16 years, retiring in 1998.  She co-founded two locations of the Castle Hill Jewish Community Center.  She was also a member of the Women’s Jewish Veterans Auxiliary.

Devoted mother of Ed Weinberg and his wife, Karen, and Andrew Weinberg and his wife, Kathy.  Dear sister of the late Mae Katzman, Florence Wunsh and Bea Lerner.  Loving grandmother of Jason, Shanna, Rachel and Jacklyn Weinberg.  Cherished great grandmother of Yonah and Estee Weinberg and Ainsley Smith.

Graveside services will be held FRIDAY, September 3, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. in Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue in Paramus, NJ. There will be a shiva gathering for Helen Weinberg’s family and friends via zoom on Sunday, Sept. 5 at 7:00 pm.
