Dear Paul and Rona, I met your mother in 1973 when we both worked at Foster Parents Plan. We remained steadfast friends ever since then, nearly fifty years. Your mother was a remarkable woman and I feel priviledged to have had her for a friend. We watched each other’s children grow up and then we both had the joy of becoming grandparents. I know she was thrilled to become a great grandmother. Distance never came between the friendship we had developed. I loved her and will never forget her. Your mom was one very special woman. My deepest condolences to you and your families.

Thank you Linda for the kind words. My mom always told me how much she adored you and the great times you shared. She enjoyed receiving cards for various occasions over the years and the numerous phone calls. Even though you didn’t live close by in the last few years, you always visited her in Marlborough when visiting your daughter. I wish your family health and happiness.
      Love,
      Rona

    To the Safferson family:
I was so sorry to hear of Sylvia’s death. She was a special friend and we enjoyed many social occasions..theater, dinner. Although I was unable to visit her once she moved we kept in touch by telephone. I will miss our conversations. My sincere sympathy to all.

I am so sorry to learn of Sylvia’s passing. She was a sweetheart. I knew her as a fellow congregant at Temple Torat Yisrael. I also had Rona as a Sunday School student in the late 60′s or early 70′s. My sympathies go out to her family. A life well lived.
