Stu was always upbeat with a positive, can-do attitude. He watched out for me when I was a Freshman and he was a Senior at URI. That meant so much to me. Stu was a terrific athlete, very competitive on the field yet gentle as a lamb off. I miss him so.

Stuart was a dear cousin in our family. He had a beautiful sweet nature that came from our beloved grandparents. He leaves us all way too soon. His memory is a blessing.

Stu was a gentle, kind yet determined person. We shared our love of the Patriots and myself and my 2 sons stayed with him and went to the Squish the Fish Game in Miami. Condolences to Cliff and the family. Mal, Avis, Peter, Paul & Polly Goldenberg.

Stu was a good Phi Sigma Delta. After I graduated URI and looked after the fraternity with Saul Fern, Stu was helpful and a mature fraternity member. A great guy and a brother others could count on. I am sorry to learn he passed on.

Stu was age 70 but going on 50. He was such a great athlete and so young at heart. His heart exemplified who he was; a gentle and caring sole taken way too soon. He will be sorely missed by all his cousins, family and friends. God bless you Stu. Rest in peace.

Stu was a friend of my dad’s, then my hockey coach, then my friend. He was always so positive
and encouraging to me and my brother. Best wishes to the Zarchen family.

Condolences to the Zarchen family. When advising the fraternity chapter at URI I had many occasions to meet with Stu and always enjoyed our conversations and valued his opinions. He was a true fraternity brother.

  11. We are deeply saddened by Stu’s passing. Every time I look out our windown I expect to see Stu and Molly going for their many daily walks. Stu, we will continue to watch after sweet Molly even when she finds her new forever home. We will miss your sweet spirit, your kindness and your friendship. We always enjoyed our sidewalk conversations and our playtime with Molly. Our neighborhood will not be the same without the two of you. Rest in peace Stu. ” The Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you, the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.”

We will never find a better neighbor than Stu. Always a friendly smile and conversation. I once told Stu we were visiting Boston to sightsee and go to a Celtics game. He told me many stories, and passed along many tips for our visit. One of those tips…to tug on the doors on the backside of Fenway Park. I tried it, and three doors later I was inside Fenway on a self-guided tour of an empty stadium. A memory I will always cherish…especially so now.

To Cliff and the Zarchen family

I was so saddened to hear about Stu. My relationship with Stu goes back to tenth grade at Hope. Little did I know that our paths would cross some years later with my long association with his dad in accounting. Both men were gentlemen and will be missed.
