My deepest condolences to the entire Friedman family. I loved Janet like she was my family. I loved her wisdom and her smart replies. She always had the best comebacks. She will forever hold a special place in my heart. May she rest in peace and sing her heart out with all her angels.

So nice to hear from an old friend. It’s been like forever. Mom and Ann can now be together to chat about old times.

Janet and my dad had a wonderful time together at Epoch, then Wingate. They brought a lot of laughter and music to their fellow residents, and shared a very special devotion. One of my favorite memories of my dad, is when I brought Janet and Morty to the waterfront park in Fox Point, left them alone on a bench, and watched as they sang and laughed the afternoon away together. May Janet’s memory be a blessing.

So sorry to just learn of my ‘Auntie’ Janet’s death which occurred 1 year ago. My mom and your mom were roommates at Boston Conservatory of Music and stayed close friends through their lives. When they could no longer visit in person, they had phone contact until a few years ago. Your mom sang beautifully at my wedding in 1975! (My mom currently resides in a memory care place in Cape Cod. ) May your dear mother’s memory be a blessing. Linda Sirkis Lieberman

Linda, thank you so much for sharing. My gram always spoke so fondly of your mother. Best friends for life wasn’t just a euphemism for them! A year later, we still miss her dearly. Prayers and well wishes to your mom.
