Susan, As I read about your mom I couldn’t help notice what a remarkable person she was a what a full life she had. Unbelievable, A poet, a great grandmother, a degree and married for over 60 years. Wow that is something. What a mom she must have been and a friend to so many others. I hope you can find peace during this difficult time. I will be praying for you and your family. May God provide you strength and encouragement as you face the days ahead Sincerely, your friend David Smidl.

Dear Francine and family of Minnie,
I am so sorry for your loss. My Mom, Mae (WOOLF) Kahn who passed away a couple years ago was a dearest childhood friend of your Mom and Dad They graduated together from Hope High, were friends over the many years in Cranston. Your Mom later warmly welcomed them to Tamarisk and made my Mom and Dad’s transition much easier. I was fortunate to see Minnie’s bright warm welcoming smile and greeting to them over their many days at Tamarisk together. Our family’s thoughts are with all of you.

    To Minnie’s Beautiful Family
When your parents moved to Tamarisk they were seated at the table with my mother Gladys Sollosy. I was visiting at the time from Israel where I live with my family. It was wonderful to meet those of you who (or whom!!) were assisting them in acclimating to the new surroundings. As your father became ill and passed away my mother continued to enjoy your mother’s pleasant company.
I just “attended” Minnie’s funeral through zoom. I laughed and cried along with each of you as you eloquently portrayed her illustrious life and how you each flourish through her love and personal example. Enjoy the gift of family that your parents blessed you with and continue to share your wonderful memories.
May the Omnipresent console you among the other mourners of Zion and Jerusalem
    With Love and admiration,
    Harriet Sollosy Slatin

I’ve known Minnie since Carol and I became friends at 10 years old and she was always so sweet and kind. I loved her corny jokes–especially that “Ray scared the witz” out of her –going from Gurwitz to Gertz! She always made everyone feel so comfortable in her home and was the ideal Mom. I know she loved being a wife and mother and she will be greatly missed. I’m sure she is with Ray now, smiling and telling her corny jokes and reciting poetry. She still lives in the hearts of those who cherish her memory. She lives on in all of her children forever.
