Dear Shari,
Several years ago I had the great privilege of helping your mother and father out on a legal matter. To my great joy, the usual attorney client relationship quickly evolved into friendship, an enduring friendship. Over the years I always enjoyed seeing and speaking with your parents, and of course Jill and I relished seeing you and your father (you, too, Juno) at your beautiful home. Inevitably in my conversations with your parents, your name came up (this was well before I knew you) and it was always abundantly clear how much they cherished you. In all ways, you are a tribute to them and their love for you. Jill and I mourn with you in your father’s death; we know that he will be greatly missed by you and by the entire TBE community.
In sadness, with love,
Jim & Jill

Oh Shari, I am so sorry for the loss of you dad. He was truly a remarkable man, one that many will remember forever. To say he will be missed by many would be an understatement. He will be missed by ALL. Shari, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. May Bernie rest in the sweetest, most comforting peace.
It WAS MY PLEASURE TO HAVE MET THE LEVINE FAMILY WHEN I WAS PRESIDENT OF TEMPLE TORAT YISRAEL IN CRANSTON. BOTH YOUR PARENTS WERE ACTIVE MEMBERS OF THE TEMPLE AND MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR MANY YEARS. BERNIE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE WHEN WE WOULD MEET AND OUR FRIENDSHIP DEVELOPED OVER MANY YEARS. LATER WHEN WE BOTH FOUND OURSELVES MEMBERS OF TEMPLE BETH EL, THE SMILE WAS STILL THERE!
A FEW MONTHS AGO, I MADE IT MY BUSINESS TO VISIT BERNIE AT STEERE HOUSE AND WE SAT OUTSIDE FOR A FEW HOURS, JUST REMINISCING AND CATCHING UP.
ALWAYS A GENTLEMAN AND A GENTLE MAN.
MAY BERNIE REST IN PERFECT PEACE!
