Leatrice J. Zawatsky

Zawatsky, Leatrice J., 83, died Tuesday, July 2, at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center.  She was the beloved wife of the late Fred Edwards and the late Albert Zawatsky.  Born in Dorchester, MA, a daughter of the late Bernard and Esther (Harrison) Baron, she had lived in Cranston, previously residing in Providence.  Leatrice and her husband, Al, owned and operated Zawatsky Glass Co. for over 50 years.  Leatrice continued to operate the business, after Al passed away, until January, 2012. She was also a former clerk-typist for the Providence School Department for many years. Devoted mother of Bonnie Edwards Flanagan and her partner, Howard Wilgoren, of Cranston.  Dear sister of the late Muriel Fistel.  Loving grandmother of Chelsea and Kendyll.  Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in LINCOLN PARK CEMETERY, 1469 Post Rd., Warwick.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to WoundedWarriorProject.org.  Shiva will be observed at the Crowne Plaza, 801 Greenwich Ave., Warwick, Wed. 4-9 p.m..  Arrangements by SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston.
