Sydney I. Resnick

Resnick, Sydney I., 94, died Monday, September 21, 2020 at Kent Regency. He was the beloved husband of the late Frances “Pepper” Cohen. Born in Providence, son of the late Max and Sarah Resnick, he had lived in Warwick for 3 years, and was previously a longtime resident of Cranston. He was an attorney at his own practice for over 50 years. Sydney was a WWII Navy veteran. He was a graduate of Hope High School, Brown University and Boston University School of Law.

Devoted father of David Resnick and his wife, Susan, of Cambridge and John Resnick of Wickford. Brother of the late Beatrice Shechtman. Loving grandfather of Caroline and Max Resnick.

Funeral services and Shiva will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Biden/Harris 2020 presidential campaign or charity of your choice.

    I lived at Tamarask for a short time, it was always a joy to stop and talk to Sydney. He was a smart man with a great sense of humor. He is missed by many at Tamarask.

    David and John,

    I just read of your Dad’s passing via the internet. I extend my sincere condolences to you and your family. I knew your Dad, your Mother, your Uncle “Salty” and your Cohen grandparents.
    I knew your Mother, her Brother and their parents from my days in the 1950′s when I lived in Boston…..they were very kind to me and were all wonderful people.
