I’m so saddened to hear of Dave’ s loss. He was a great guy and always pleasant to see in Amica’s hallway passing through. He greeted everyone with a smile. I’m truly sorry for your loss.
I am so sorry for your loss. Over the years we worked on a couple of projects together at Amica. Dave was friendly to everyone and always said “hi” as we passed in the hallways.
You all are in our thoughts and prayers.
I worked with Dave at Amica and saw him almost morning at the gym. I’m very sorry for your loss. He will be missed.
Dear Naomi,Bob,Melissa,Kayla and Zachary
We are very sorry for the sudden loss of our gentle and thoughtful
loved one.May his memory live on forever in our hearts and minds.Amen
I will fondly remember starting at Amica with Dave and our many weeks together in training. He, Tabitha and I would race one another to get a calculation done first – the pounding calculator keys – the groaning at who would “win.” In those days, Dave was relieved that turning 30 would mean his insurance rates would finally go down – what funny conversations and days we had together! Throughout the following 20 years, he ALWAYS greeted me with a smile and a “Hi, Chris!” He tried to convince me that if I was able to show up at the gym for 6:45AM, it was entirely possible to get there even earlier. (I never did.)
Melissa, I remember how proud he was to be your husband when he first found out I had known you as my swim coach from years earlier. I remember his excitement at being a Dad. You three were incredibly loved by him. I hope the wonderful memories will sustain you, Kayla and Zachary in these difficult days ahead.
Many prayers, Christina (Ruegg) Boudreau

Naomi & Bob,
Shirley just called me to share this very sad news. I’m so sorry for your loss. No words can really console but hopefully, in time, this wonderfully gentle soul who filled your life with joy and ‘nachas’ will remain with you with less and less of the pain you are enduring now. David was surely a gift to all whose lives he touched. Though I didn’t know him as a family man, I remember very well his days in youth group…especially when they came to San Jose, and we went to a USY event just to see him. David was especially attentive to our (then young) daughter Adina, and she was enchanted by this’almost grown-up’ who sang nice songs and was so kind and friendly. A sweet gentle child, a caring young man…..and I’m more than sure a wonderful husband and father. May his soul be bound up in the bond of life.
“Ha-makom y’nachem es-chem b’toch sh’ar a-veilei V’Yerushalayim.”
May G-d console you among the other mourners of Zion
and Jerusalem.
Much love,
Liz and Howard

Thinking of Dave brings a smile to my face as it does for so many. I met Dave when he started at AMICA more than 20 years ago. I opened the fitness center most mornings and he beat me there just about everyday!
I will never forget the first workout I wrote for him. He insisted on increasing the weights that I recommended…I can lift more than that! Well, the next day, he came into the fitness center with his arms in perfect 90 degree angles, he couldn’t straighten his arms! I helped him with some stretches and we had a good laugh! But, he still didn’t like to follow my advice, lol.
He will be missed by so many.
My deepest sympathies to the entire family. I know how much he loved you all and how proud of his children he was.
Our family was shocked to hear of this and cannot express how sorry we are for your loss. Coach Dave will always be remembered fondly and we will always remember our trip to Myrtle Beach together.

With the help of Heaven
I remember spending time at the Halpert Home as a child. It was a wonderful place. It was like Heaven. David will find that Heaven has a lot of similarities with his childhood home: warmth, love, light, caring, support and encouragement. May these qualities continue with all of David’s family.
May his memory be for a blessing.
May you be comforted in knowing that he is with you now even more than before. His love for you is for always.

So very sorry for your loss. Dave was a great friend and so much fun to work with. He has a great sense of humor. He was a genuine and kind. Always made sure to include everybody in our lunch to play cards. I remember when one another co-worker wanted to do the photo booth at one of Amica’s summer picnics. No one really felt up to it at the time. At the last minute, Dave looked at me and said we can’t have him take a picture by himself and so we both jumped in.
