With great sadness and a heavy heart on this day Sept. 16 I was notified that a very dear old friend Farrel Jaffa had passed away today, his daughter Raquel stated he had taken his last breath at 1:30pm. Even though we hadn’t kept in touch I never forgot my friendship with Farrel. His daughter Raquel & I had become good friends this past few years and I have to say what an amazing daughter she was to her Dad, looking after & taking care of him even with her own family at home. Hopefully he is with his son Sloan who passed away April of 2018 in a motorcycle accident. RIP Farrel. My deepest Sympathy to you Raquel, your family and to Tatum & Dylan who have lossed their wonderful & loving Zaida….Arline (Kushel) Cusick

To all the family of Farrel’s , I am sorry to read about his passing
today. We grew up in Washington Park together in the early 50′s
He was a good friend and fun guy to hang out with, also not to forget his athletic abilities as a wrestler at Hope high school.
I hope you rest in peace my friend.

Please accept my most sincere condolences on the loss of your father. I’ve known Farrel since the 1980’s through the automotive industry & we had many wonderful talks throughout the years. He was a true gentleman & very thoughtful & kind.
Through this obituary I also learned that you lost Sloan due to a tragic accident this year. I was deeply saddened to hear of both of their passing today. May they rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy goes to the wonderful family of Farrel who will truly be missed. I have had the pleasure of knowing Farrel since 1960ish. Farrel cared most about his lovely daughter, Raquel, late son Sloan, who tragically passed in an accident recently, and his entire families. He loved his special father Donald, who could never stop boasting of his love for his son and grandchildren, as well as friends. He was more interested in giving to others than in taking for himself. His loyalty, love, dedication and compassion was endless as he was an exceptional human being. He was humble and caring. He made the world better. My knowing and interactions with him, as well as his late son and special daughter, Raquel, was an honor and privilege for my wife Lori and I. May he be with Sloan, Rest In Peace and be in a better place with the many people he loved and admired. He so deserves this!

I thank Farrel for the honor and privilege of his friendship and providing his medical care many years ago to he and his Father.

We were so sad to just learn the news of Farrel’s passing. He was a warm and wonderful man and was like a grandfather to our son. He sold us a few cars over the years and whenever we stopped by for a chat he’d always let our son sit at his desk and use his adding machine and pretend he was on the phone. Farrel always kept the school photo each year in his briefcase and would show it off each time we visited.

He left a lasting impression on many and we are all grateful to have known him.

    Condolences to all.
