I first met Carolyn in April 2005 when my parents moved into Tamarisk. She made them feel welcome. Sharing a love of musical theater, she made my father especially happy when she participated in a show tune sing along my father put together shortly after he moved in. Carolyn had an eye for jewelry and created many beautiful necklaces or bracelets in the jewelry making class I led. She generously lent me a shawl to match an outfit I was wearing for a special occasion. When my family ran the New Year’s Eve party at Tamarisk, Carolyn was a welcomed guest. Dressed to the nines, she delighted in singing and was a willing volunteer when Bruce Kalver, the magician, asked for one. I enjoyed playing Scrabble with her. She was an amazing gardener and nursed a few of my mother’s plants back to health.
May her memory live on as a blessing.
    Paula Goldberg
