Sending heartfelt sympathies from me, John and Michael.
To the Family of the late Barbara Queen. My sincere condolences to you and yours. She was a dear, kind, talented family friend of my parents, especially my mother, the late Desi Singer. A few months back Barbara and I saw one another and reminisced about our families. It was so lovely to see her, she had not lost her beauty and charm. Her smile was engaging. Thinking of you in this time of sorrow, but will always remember Barbara with a smile.
My sincerest condolences to her family whom she was so proud of. Barb was always so caring, thoughtful, and always had a positive attitude. Her many many years of substitute teaching were very appreciated. If Barb was in your classroom you knew that all would be well when you returned. She will be greatly missed.
The wonderful artist of our family–creative, fun, and loving. We’ll always remember you.
Love,
Wilma and Steve Davidson and Family
Amazing substitute! Everyone’s day lit up when seeing her in the room, we had really fun times when she was a substitute!! She will be missed!
Karen, I was so sad to hear this news. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and you family. Love you.
Our deepest condolences to Barbara’s family. She was our children’s Hebrew school teacher and a very sweet and kind lady. In the past few years she would stop in to my knitting group at the Lawler Library and always ask for help on a knitting project that she was making. She always had a smile on her face. She will be missed.
To the Queen family we offer our deepest condolences. Barbara was a ray of sunshine that I just met in Sunday morning Yoga class. She was so warm and welcoming to me. Surely one of the friendliest people I ever met and couldn’t help liking immediately. We were excited to learn that she also did pool aerobics with my husband (the only man in her classes) for a very long time. She immediately noticed I was struggling with a new diagnosis of COPD. She offered so much help and encouragement as we would slowly walk together to take the elevator as we chatted about our respective families. She was so full of life and an inspiration at 89 in years, but 29 in spirit. I will dedicate my yoga practice to Barbara tomorrow morning, (God willing). Om, Shanti, Shanti, Barbara. Namaste, May your light forever shine on!
A fine lady who will be truly missed. I am proud to have been a colleague of hers at the Dartmouth Middle School. Rest In Peace Barbara
So sorry to hear of Barbara’s passing. Whenever we ran into one another her warmth radiated. We’d chat and catch up on our families. She was truly an unforgettable woman who loved life. I wish I could have been able to see you in but my thoughts are with you
Dearest Barbara: She became my dearest friend upon the death of my parents-ages 13 and 15-she saved me from my autocratic brother Selwyn and Tillie Braudy and made my teen age years filled with fun, adventure, and joy. Her mom unfortunately taught me to french smoke(gave that up years ago) I will never forget our prancing around Acushnet Beach- we adorable teenagers that all the boys would google at us; mainly her.Our movie dates ,the DINER making an appearance with our many handsome beaus. We have kept in touch these 70 years and still just as though we had seen each other yesterday. I imagine her being with her loved ones who have joined her. My love and sympathies to all her extended family and friends. I will mss her terribly.
