Very sad to hear that Paul has gone before his time. He was my best friend but more like a Brother and i will greatly miss his presence in my life. He was always there if i needed a hand and willing to listen to anything i had to say.
I will miss our rides to the beach and our lunches during the week. It will be hard to not be able to call him anymore just to say hello and find out what’s up. And i will miss getting texts and news feeds anytime he thought there was something i should know about going on somewhere in the world. A true friend through and through, i wish i could have seen him one last time.
May he rest in peace for eternity.

I have many fond childhood memories of Paul, we grew up across the street from one another. He would ride his go cart up and down Sessions st and I would ride my mini bike. His smile beaming, lighting the way, shine on. My condolences go out to his family.

We shared many of the ups and downs of life throughout the years
but we always came through it with a smile and a good laugh.
Paul was the perfect friend, sharing his thoughts, giving advice and always their if you needed him.
I will cherish the many years we spent watching, texting, cheering for the Patriots, this was Pauls true passion.
Paul was very concerned about the world around us, Politics, the environment, we solved many of the world problems in a conversation or in a series of texts.
I will miss, but not forget my brother and friend Paul
    may your spirit shine brightly
    God bless you

I want to espress my condolences to the Samdperil and Korber Families. We knew the Samdperils for many years when we lived near each other in Providence. Paul was a great person and a true gentleman in every sense of the word. May you only have good memories of him during this difficult time. Everett Levenson (Richard’s brother)

Saddened by this untimely loss of your brother, Fredda and Lynda.
Paul and my younger brother Joel were classmates at The Providence Hebrew Day School. The student body was small and we all knew one another. Even in his adulthood I would picture Paul as the sweet, curly haired boy of our youth.

May his memory be a blessing.

Paul was my brother from another mother.

My mom and I moved back to RI when I was 7 and Paul became my first real friend. His dad took me under his wing and treated me like one of his own kids. Paul and I were on the same little league team that his dad sponsored. The Providence Yarns and I still have the hat. Paul and his dad took me everywhere. PC basketball games (those front row seats!), Red Sox Games, RI Reds, etc. My family growing up until my step dad got in the picture, was my mom, my grandfather and Paul and his dad.

Our relationship continued on as brothers even though I moved to the west coast 34 years ago. Whenever I come back to RI to see my mom, Paul was the only other person I made sure to visit. Paul and I could go a long time without seeing each other, and when we did, it was like we saw each other yesterday. We could tell each other anything and call each other’s BS.

I can remember like it was yesterday, he and I building forts in his back yard or riding his go cart In the Brown University stadium parking lot.

His mind was always thinking of a better way to do anything. We each had shovel routes in the winter and my investment was Pam oil spray to keep the snow from sticking to the shovel. Not Paul, he took his earnings and bought a snow blower and made 10 times as much as me from that day on. I can remember sitting in his bedroom listening to music and KC and the Sunshine band came on the radio and it was the song “that’s the way I like it” and he said “on my gosh, are you kidding me, I can do better than that.” And he began to write songs.

3 years ago when my step dad was suddenly terminally ill and in the ICU, I called Paul and he spent the next 2 days with my mom at the hospital until I could get back to Rhode Island. And then he still stayed with us and checked on us every day. I could not have asked for a better advocate at the hospital for my mom and step dad. We all know that Paul kept the Dr’s and nurses on their toes and made sure that they were attentive to my step-dad and my mom.

2 weeks ago my mom needed some help as her home phones were not working. She called Paul and he dropped what he was doing and researched home phones, and went out and bought some and brought them over and got them installed. My mom was so happy and thankful for Paul. Paul was my brother from another mother.

Whenever I needed an ear or advice, I called Paul. He always listened and was the only one that would tell me the truth, not what I wanted to hear. He pulled no punches and told it like it was. And it was right from the heart. Paul had the biggest heart of anyone I know and was always willing to help anyone any time, no matter what was going on in his life. He told me last week again for the millionth time that anytime my mom needs anything to make sure she calls him. I can’t believe how lucky I am to have had him in my life. There is a huge hole now in my life and my heart and it will never be filled.

    Paul was my true brother.

In my deepest depth of sorrow for the loss of my dearest love, I am comforted by the outreach of so many of Paul’s family and friends. It is evident by the emptiness he has left in hearts of all that he was truly a giving and special man. I do not know how to even begin to live without him. So I thank all those who have been there to help Fredda, Lynda and I through this lowest of times. God bless you my love. I will cherish you forever.
