I am writing this on behalf of my husband Ken and our children, Scott , his fiance Tina and Danny. Auntie Irene was a woman ahead of her times. She and her sisters chose their path and followed it with grace, education and confidence at a time when women were considered homemakers only. What we remember most, and spoke about often, was how her entire face lit up when she smiled or laughed. Her laughter was contagious. They say “with age comes wisdom”; however, she was always wise. Our children had the chance to celebrate Thanksgiving with her a few years ago and were enchanted. Rest in Peace Auntie Irene.

I remember Irene well…she played mahjong with my dear mother inlaw for many years at my house. I remember when she became a grandmother and she was so delighted. She always brought photos of the twins every time I saw her. She was a warm and lovely lady and I want to send condolences to the family. I am so sorry. She will be fondly remembered . My dear dear friend – I have known you for years – every year I think you smile was brighter every year – I remember when the twins were born – you were so proud. We spent many crazy times crazy miles on the road going to medical appointments in the last year. Always having lunch after, you loved those scallops. Your stories always made me smile. Your love of life, your son, and those little ones who are not so little anymore. I am so fortunate to have had that time with you, I will cherish your friendship- your wisdom, and your laugh. Godspeed to you – I will miss you but hope you can finally not have any pain and that you can truly Rest In Peace. Goodbye my friend XXO

My sincere condolences to you and your family, Steven. I have thought of your mother so often over the years. She was such a kind and wonderful next-door neighbor in my childhood on Court Street, always with a ready smile and a hearty laugh. I only just came across her obituary, and was very sorry to hear of her passing. What a wonderful woman she was. May she rest in the sweetest of peace, and may you be comforted in your memories of her. Sincerely, Karen xox
