Wendy Carol Miller
With heavy hearts the Miller/McCaughey families announce the passing of our beloved Wendy. After courageously facing each setback for five years with a positive attitude she finally succumbed to colon cancer. She truly was an inspiration to all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Ted, and their equally loving children, Lily and Aiden. She will be forever remembered by her very caring and devoted sister, Nancy (Dan), and her parents, Lew and Janet. So many others were unfailing beside Wendy on her journey. From her cousin Treacy (Bill) and Dr. Safran and Dr. Taber and the caring staff at the Miriam Hospital. Her best friends, Karen, Deb and Connie, were continuingly supportive and physically by her side. She was oh so grateful. Wendy was a Shea High graduate. She did her undergraduate work at the University of Rhode Island and received her Master’s as a clinical social worker from Boston University. She had offices in the South County area and continued her practice through her illness. She was passionate and supportive of many social issues. Her contagious laugh and sense of humor will be remembered by her close cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held on TUESDAY at 12:00 noon in Congregation Beth David, 102 Kingstown Road, Narragansett. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Lifespan Cancer Institute, Cancer Research Fund, 139 Point Street, Providence, RI 02903. Shiva will be private.

Deborah and I send our deepest condolences to our cousins, Lemme and Jan, on the loss of Wendy, their beloved daughter and a member of our extended family.
I am so sorry to hear of Wendy’s passing. We worked together for a while and did stayed in touch after we weren’t working together anymore. She was always kind, down to earth and had a great sense of humor. I saw Wendy, with one of her daughters (not sure which one) in Belmont’s about a year ago. We had a nice talk and some good laughs. I was shocked when I saw her obituary in the paper today. Please know that she did so much good for so many people. She will truly be missed. My condolences to her family and friends. Rest In Peace, Wendy.
Janet, Lemmy and Family, Our sympathy and warm thoughts to you on this sad day.

I was so sad to hear of Wendy’s passing. We worked together over the years, and she was always so warm and positive, even as she faced her illness. She touched many lives, and I will miss her.
our thoughts and prayers are with you, Lem and Janet only good things in the future,
May all the qualities of Wendy remain in your hearts where she lives.
Wendy always made the love and compassion for her family, friends and four leggeds known to all who had the pleasure of knowing her which I am honored to say… she was an inspiration to us all.
I wanted to share with friends and family the sadness that I and many others are feeling since Wendy has moved on to her next adventure. An advocate for all (except that person in “our” White House), someone who kept it real ALWAYS, an avid Pats fan, a talented crafter, a voracious reader, humor, humor, humor, a woman with the ability to empathize with almost anyone or anything (Trump aside), a kick ass partner, a beyond-amazing mom, and to me as a friend someone that I will forever be changed for having the privilege of journeying with for a period of time. I will miss you more than words can ever say and thank you momma, thank you. Love in my heart always.
I’m so sorry to hear of Wendy’s passing, my condolences to her family and friends. Praying that the legacy and memories she leaves with all of you will help ease the pain.
To Janet and Lew I wish to express my deepest sympathy to you on the passing of your dear daughter Wendy. I never met Wendy but I know she brought you much happiness.
