Harriet Landesberg

Landesberg, Harriet, 106, of Tamarisk Assisted Living, died Friday, May 25th at Kent County Hospital.  She was the beloved wife of the late Leo Landesberg. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Samuel and Ida (Roth) Glazer, she had lived in Warwick for 13 years, previously living in Cranston.  Harriet was a member of Temple Torat Yisrael. As a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother her devotion to family was an inspiration to all.  Although she did not have the opportunity to be Bat Mitzvah as a young girl, she became one at age 72. Devoted mother of Melvin Landesberg and his wife, Arlene, of Delray Beach, FL and the late Adele Landesberg.  Dear sister of the late Morris Glazer, Betty Levy, Sadie, David, and Sydney Glazer.  Loving grandmother of Karen Steinfeld and her husband, David, Jill Boyle and her husband, Vincent, and Ilise Samolyk and her husband, John.  Cherished great grandmother of Michael, Jordan, Bryanna, Aliyah, and Joshua. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 pm in the PRIEST CHAPEL in LINCOLN PARK CEMETERY, 1496 Post Road, Warwick.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Tamarisk Assisted Living, Staff Appreciation Fund, 3 Shalom Drive, Warwick, RI 02886.  Shiva will be observed at Tamarisk Assisted Living on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. and Monday 6-8 p.m.

    Harriet & I were neighbors for 37 years & friends for 50 years.
    We shared a lot of happy events & some sad times. I will always treasure my memories & know that my life was blessed by having Harriet as my friend & neighbor.
    I hold her family in my thoughts & prayers.
