My daughter and I were sorry to hear about Marty’s passing. As most Jewish women we were customers of his.

We are so heartbroken to hear about Marty’s passing. Ronnie always remembers Marty cutting him salami and going next door to Guttiens bakery to make him a sandwich. We both remember how big Marty’s heart was and how kind and loving he was to both of us. We’ll miss his stories (and his Yiddish too!) and spending time with him.

David, please know we are here for you and send love and prayers to your mom and brother.

    Love,
    Ronnie and Cathy Newman

Many fond memories of “Marty, the butcher.” He worked long hard hours standing on his feet for so many years and always had a story to tell. Our sincerest sympathies to you, Helene, and your children.
