Dr. Robert S. Luber

DATELINE: DELRAY BEACH, FL

Luber, Dr. Robert S. passed on December 12, 2107.  He was a resident of Cranston, RI for most of his life before moving to Delray Beach, FL in 2004. Beloved husband of the late Arlene (Bernstein) Luber for 39 years.  He was the son of the late David and Gertrude (Seidman) Luber.  Born in Providence, RI.   Bob graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1947 and went on to earn his Doctor of Podiatry degree from the New York College of Pediatric Medicine in 1950.  Bob spent his working career as a podiatrist in Providence, RI in private practice.  He was a veteran of the Army serving in a medical unit in the United States and Europe from 1950 through 1953, and Army Reserves until 1960.  Bob enjoyed playing golf, tennis, playing duplicate bridge, watching sports, photography, reading books, and good food with his friends.  He was a fan of the philharmonic and stage theater arts.   Bob was a longtime member of Temple Beth-El and Crestwood Country Club.  He is survived by his son Martin Luber of Santa Monica, CA.  Daughters Mindy Redlich and her husband Ried of Cumberland, RI, Judy Rzucidlo and her husband David of Dayville, Ct. Grandchildren Trevor Rzucidlo, Devon Rzucidlo, Sarah Redlich, and Alysa Redlich.  He is also survived by his sister Nancy Rosenbaum of Cranston, RI. Funeral services will be held on December 15, 2017 at 10:30am at Shalom Memorial Chapel, 1100 New London Ave Cranston, RI.  Internment will take place at Lincoln Park Cemetery immediately following the funeral.  Shiva will be observed at 200 Hoffman Ave. Apt 304, Cranston, RI from to 1-3pm on December 15, 2017.  In lieu of flowers a contribution in Bob’s memory may be made to Temple Beth-El or a charity of your choice.

    My sincerest condolences go out to Martin, Mindy and Judy children of Bob and sister Nancy Rosenbaum.
    We spent many good times with Bob in Florida and
    Phone conversations up until 2 weeks before his passing. May he Rest In Peace. Love, Beverly

    Judy and Family~My Beloved Friend ~ I am so sorry to hear of your father’s passing and so soon after that of your mother. This is especially difficult at this time of year.
