Victoria “Vivian” Berren

Berren, Victoria “Vivian,” 97, died Saturday, July 8, 2017 surrounded by loving family at Greenwich Farms. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Berren. Born and raised in Providence, a daughter of the late Albert and Sadie (Elman) Cohen, she had lived in Warwick for five years, previously living in Florida for many years. She was the co-founder and interior designer at Berren Wallpaper Company in Providence and Warwick for 20 years, retiring in 1978. Vivian graduated from Hope High School. She was a member of Hadassah. Devoted mother of Carole Berren of Warwick and A. Larry Berren (Ellen), of Barrington. Dear sister of the late Edward and Samuel Consove. Loving grandmother of Shonna, Todd, Abigail and Rebecca. Cherished great grandmother of four. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.  Shiva will be observed at 75 Minnesota Ave., Warwick, Monday 3-5 & 7-9 p.m.

    Our mother never truly leaves us. She will smile at you from your mirror; you will hear the echo of her footsteps when you walk and her voice when you speak to children. When you are sad, you will feel her hand on your shoulder. A mother’s love lives forever.
