Morton S. Fine

Fine, Morton S., 87, died Monday, July 27, 2015 at RI Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Gertrude (Kramer) Fine of Warwick. They were married for 56 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Harry and Rose (Goldstein) Fine, he had lived in Warwick for 52 years, previously living in Providence. He was a Machinist for Imperial Knife Company for 27 years, later working for Grossé Jewels for 10 years and retiring in 1997. Morton was a Korean Conflict Army veteran, serving overseas. He was a graduate of Central High School and a former member of Temple Beth Am and its Men’s Club. Devoted father of Richard G. Fine of Warwick and Robert M. Fine and his companion, Pamela D. Pandapas, of Rockland, MA. Dear brother of Lillian Metz of Wakefield. Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to your favorite charity. Shiva will be observed at 19 Deborah Rd., Warwick, Thursday 7-9 and Friday 2-4 p.m.

I was very sorry to hear that Mort had died and I just heard about it this morning when I was walking with Nancy and Hope. I missed it in the paper and they forgot to tell me about it. I know this is a very difficult time for you . It is never easy to lose a spouse and one who has been with you for many year.
