    To the Benharris Family,

I want to extend my sympathy on the passing of Al. I met him when my father Phil Woled married Ida. Al was a very nice man and continued to contact my father after Ida died.

Jim and I send our sincere sympathy to the Benharris family on the passing of Al. We met Al years ago when he was with McDowell Diamond Investment Company and enjoyed many evenings with both he and Rhoda. May your memories bring you comfort at this difficult time.

We are visiting in RI and were going to visit Al Monday afternoon, when we read the news of his passing. Irving and Al had been friends for their whole lives, more than 80 years, and we will have wonderful memories. Best wishes to the family.

A sad passing of Mr. Benharris who was so much part of my youth playing basketball with Steve on Hollins Drive in the driveway and much more. Mr. Benharris making us Pizza after the games and we had great conversations on PC basketball and many things. Most important he was a good friend to me and all his son’s friends. A kind and good man filled with loyalty and love. My condolences to the family, he will be greatly missed but never forgotten. John Bernstein La Grange Park , Illinois

Neil, this is late, but i am so sad to learn of your father’s passing while searching online for you.
Al was a lovely, serious man who always adequate me feel older than my years. He truly cared about and respected Neil’s friends. He was always kind and thoughtful. He spoke with you as an adult. He was always present. This is why Neil had grown early on into a responsible son, and generous friend.

Al’s legacy are the successes of his children, Neil and Steven, and his grandchildren who loved him.

Yaasher koach on a job well done, Al. A great father.
