Chaika, Jeremy D., 50, of Florida, died Sunday, April 12, 2015 in Florida. Former husband of Ayessa Deleon, Marita Kozinda and Claudia Aguirre. Born in Providence, a beloved son of William Y. and Elaine (Ostrach) Chaika of Providence, he had lived in Florida for over 15 years. Jeremy was a loan officer for Bank of America in Florida and was previously in the wholesale produce business in California. Devoted father of Rebecca Chaika of San Francisco, CA and Allen Chaika and Sarah Chaika, both of Boca Raton, FL. Loving brother of Eric Chaika of Warwick and Daniel Chaika of Providence. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Humane Society of the United States, 700 Professional Dr., Gaithersburg, MD 20879 or Providence Animal Rescue League, 34 Elbow St., Providence, RI 02903. Shiva will be observed at 68 Locust Street, Providence, Monday 7-9 and Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.

I will always love Jeremy. He had a kind heart and felt bad about having to be a Lian officer at B.O.A. because he was forced to lie to poor families. This guilt was part of his undoing. Good soul. R I P
