Sharon has always been a strong, honest, dedicated and amazing woman. She was a huge part of my life for the past 7 years and I am forever grateful to have known her. I admired her for her wealth of knowledge and her ability to thrive in the most stressful of atmospheres. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. I wish peace for all of her family. My heart is with you.

While I can not be with you in body, I am in every other way. Not only was Sharon my cousin by marriage, but a friend and colleague as well. I am saddened for all the lives she might still have touched through her counseling and teaching. I know my life will be forever marked by her having been in it. Her laugh yet brightens my days.

She was an amazing clinician; insightful and compassionate, warm and funny, with just the right words to bring calm in a crisis. I will miss her every day and hold her laughter and the click of her heels in my heart. Peace be with all of you in you time of sadness.

Sharon Deluca was my psychologist for about 2 years. She helped me through some tough times in my life. I had lost my boyfriend/ babies father in 2013. She had a heart of gold and was such a smart woman. Sadly, she passed away on my birthday October 28. She once told me that I was one of her most interesting patients and that I should write a book after all that I have been through. I respected her to the fullest, she was a great lady. My condolences to her family and friends. She was my mind when I was lost, and I will never forget her as long as I live. She will be missed dearly. Thank you Sharon for all you have done for me….

Very sad to hear about Sharon. She was my preceptor and mentor in graduate school at URI for my clinical experience with psychotherapy at Butler Hospital many years ago. I could not have had a better experience. Her patience, kindness, and incredible ability have never been forgotten. She will be sorely missed by everyone whose life she touched.

My deepest condolences to the Deluca family. I knew Sharon from her Butler Hospital days and had socialized with her a bit when she moved to South Kingstown. She had a calmly assertive way about her that worked very well in the crisis work she did for so many years. I’ll also always recall her unbelievably neat housekeeping. She will be missed.

I have just found this out and I am crushed. When I was a medical student in the Butler ER I had the armazing opportunity to be her student. We have continued to have a professional relationship since 2000 and I will miss her dearly. My condolences go out to her family for this sudden loss after a very short illness.
